do I have to have prior experience to join?

Not at all! These classes are guided process oriented projects that are designed with all levels in mind. Its a great way to dip your toes in the water of mindful mixed media!

can I start at any time or is there a start date?

Our weekly Friday classes are all self contained, you can start at any time when it is convenient for you. Our workshops have a start and end date. Please check the dates on the signup form.

how long do I have to use up my purchased classes for the weekly drop in classes?

You will have 2 months to use up your classes. After that time, you will need to purchase a new package.

do I need to let you know when I will be joining the weekly class?

Yes! In order to get the zoom link, you will have to confirm your attendance the day before.

What Basic Materials Do I need?

  1. Substrate options: Firm paper (watercolor, bristol; mixed media); boards (illustration; mixed media; cardboard boxes); wood

  2. Drawing paper/copy paper for drawing, sketching, writing.

  3. Collage materials: Old magazines; newspapers; old books;

  4. Acrylic paints (student grade is fine): Some form of red, yellow, blue and black and white. (whatever colors you have or are drawn to.)

  5. Various brush sizes: round, flat

  6. Scissors, Glue Stick, Rags/paper towels

  7. Small jar matte medium and 2” cheap brush

  8. Pencil

  9. Markers. I like acrylic paint markers and tombow black

  10. Small jar black india/sumi ink

  11. Any pastels, colored pencils that you may have

what if I do not have all of the materials?

No problem. There are always alternative materials to use.
