  1. Do I have to have experience in art in order to sign up for a class or event?

    Definitely not! We encourage and support anyone at any level to be part of the art process experience. You will be guided at whatever stage you are at in a non-judgmental and inspirational way. Everyone has a creative instinct. Making art is not reserved for the “anointed” born talented few!

  2. What are the mental benefits of art making for individuals or teams?

    Many studies have been done on the positive mental health benefits of making art. Aside from the lowering of stress levels, it has been shown to lower depression and anxiety, create a positive outlook and create group/team bonding opportunities. (READ MY BLOG HERE)

  3. What is mixed media art?

    Mixed media is the inclusion of many different types of processes such as painting, drawing, collage and printing in any combination on a surface. The advantage is that it is forgiving! You can build and create a layering effect or get rid of a previous layer that you didn’t like! Much like the layers of our lives, mixed media allows us to explore, experiment, bury and excavate old and new ideas. It is a really profound new form of self discovery.

  4. What materials are needed for our workshops?

    You do not have to invest in expensive materials. We will always give less costly alternatives to what we use. When you sign up, you will be given some basic materials list including but not limited to acrylic paints and brushes. Many of the materials are what you already have at home.

  5. What materials are needed for team building corporate art workshops?

    If we are doing a painting project, your participants will be sent a kit with everything that they need beforehand. Otherwise, we use any materials that you have at home such as paper, pencils, markers, crayons etc.

  6. What are the benefits of art in the workplace?

    Many! Aside from the lowering of stress, it creates strong team building and morale, engenders understanding, tolerance for divergent ideas and encourages creative problem solving.

  7. What is the best way to learn art online?

    Our online classes and workshops take place on zoom with a few different camera angles so that participants can watch live demonstrations while working alongside the coach. We encourage community building by sharing work and thoughts. Our students/teams get to laugh, have fun and support each other.
