Art for the Soul: a Mindful Mixed Media Retreat

April 16-18,2024, Palos Verdes, California

This is the time for supportive, creative replenishment!

Our 3 day “Art for the Soul” retreat is an immersive experience in The Art Process. We will be exploring our inner creative voice through process oriented mixed media art, community discussions, meditation and movement. This all takes place in a beautiful peaceful retreat center just south of Los Angeles. RETREAT CENTER WEBSITE

The gorgeous grounds, a labyrinth, nearby hiking trails and delicious healthy meals give us the healing respite from our everyday stresses and allow us to drop further into the creative zone.

Our work focuses on abstract layered mixed media and collage art. You will learn many useful techniques and compositional tips along the way while developing your own personal style.

This is a great opportunity for self discovery amongst a supportive creative community. The retreat is geared towards anyone who is curious about the creative path whether you are just exploring your creativity for the first time or are a practicing artist who wants to deepen your practice. This is encouraged and facilitated by experienced creativity coach and artist, Kathy Leader.

I attended Kathy’s 3 day art retreat and it was a wonderful experience! Kathy is a very talented teacher, she gives clear simple instruction on various techniques and helps you SEE options with what you are making without telling you what to do. The result for me was that I was able to get into a non judgmental creative head space and have fun trying different ideas, making a mess and doing it all over again. I just listened to my instincts and surprised myself. I can’t wait to do it again! Thank you so much Kathy your art process is gentle but very powerful!
